Introducing the Philanthropitch Austin 2021 Finalists!
We are excited to announce the seven nonprofit finalists that will pitch at Philanthropitch Austin presented by Legacy Collective.
All of our semi-finalists are unique and incredible, we are grateful to have spent time learning about each one and how they work to positively support communities. It was difficult to narrow down the list, however, we selected our finalists based on their innovative ideas and potential to create a lasting impact in Austin. Learn more about each of them below:
Austin Soundwaves’ mission is to make music learning accessible and equitable for all in order to empower students, strengthen schools, and build inclusive communities.
American Youthworks’ mission is to provide young people with opportunities to build careers, strengthen communities, and improve the environment through education, on-the-job training, and service to others.
Flatwater Foundation is dedicated to providing those diagnosed with cancer, their families and loved ones access to mental health therapy and family support.
MEASURE uses data and education to mobilize communities to eliminate social disparities.
MELJ Center makes the formerly incarcerated reintegration positive and supportive, eliminating barriers for success.
Tank Proof specializes in giving swimming lessons and food security to kids who need it most.
The Texas Book Festival connects authors and readers through experiences that celebrate the culture of literacy, ideas, and imagination
Wondering what’s next?
Over the next 8 weeks, we’ll be working closely with these organizations through hands-on training and 1:1 coaching sessions to help them prepare their pitches and develop business models that will sustain long after the 2021 Philanthropitch season.
